Healthy Living

Elmhurst staff are dedicated to each resident’s health and well-being. Our Nursing Staff ensures medications are administered according to doctors’ orders. If more care is needed, the staff will discuss alternative options with the resident and their family. Our Nursing Staff is carefully trained to provide 24-hour assistance with daily tasks.

Dining at Elmhurst is a pleasure in our Victorian mansion dining room, where residents enjoy three well-balanced meals daily, prepared with fresh ingredients, including herbs from our garden. Monthly brunches, seasonal events, and themed evenings add variety to our menus. Guests are welcome at any meal with prior arrangements. Resident Activity Areas include snacks and beverages that are always available. Residents can enjoy coffee, daily newspapers, and monthly Koffee Klatches.

The Elmhurst Suite

Elmhurst offers spacious one and two-bedroom suites, designed for comfortable living and sleeping areas. Each air-conditioned suite is uniquely decorated in Victorian style and includes safety-equipped private baths with grab bars and an emergency call system. Suites in the new wing feature separate bedrooms, living rooms, and kitchenettes. The decor blends modern touches with the elegance of the original Victorian residence.

Residents enjoy the large front porch with white wicker furniture, a gazebo surrounded by flowers, and a creek-side deck perfect for relaxation or fishing. The patio near the family room and library, with its umbrella table, is ideal for reading, while residents’ standing gardens add a personal touch. A winding path offers a peaceful stroll through this natural oasis, where deer are often spotted.
